Gordon E. Sims III, MD
Anesthesiologist
Gordon E. Sims III, MD, is a highly skilled anesthesiologist with an extensive background in the field, including experience in the United States Navy. Dr. Sims holds multiple medical licenses, including those for New Jersey, Florida, New York, and California. He is ABA-certified and has completed both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
Dr. Sims’ medical education began at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he studied from 2009 to 2014. He then completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University’s University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center between 2014 and 2018.
In 2018, Dr. Sims began his service as an active-duty US Navy anesthesiologist at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, a position he held until 2020. After his time in the military, he worked as an anesthesiologist at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, before transitioning to an independent anesthesiologist role at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY, in 2021.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sims has received various awards and recognitions, including the Armed Forces Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal from the United States Navy, as well as scholarships from the Health Professions Scholarship Program and the Service and Research Scholarship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Sims has been involved in multiple research projects and has published several articles. Furthermore, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to service, engaging in volunteer activities and serving on various panels related to medical education.
