Caway Lau is a highly skilled and dedicated administrator at Queens Surgical Center, where she plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facility. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health science from Stony Brook University, specializing in healthcare management. Her academic background, which includes coursework in general chemistry, research methods in health science, continuous quality improvement in healthcare, and corporate compliance and regulation, has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the healthcare sector.
Before joining Queens Surgical Center, Caway gained valuable experience through her involvement in the Summer Youth Employment Program in Queens, NY. There, she demonstrated her ability to effectively coordinate resources and foster an inclusive environment for learning.
Her commitment to community service is further evidenced by her ongoing involvement with Interverse Educational Outreach, a nonprofit organization. As an executive board member, Caway has been instrumental in recruiting volunteers, developing outreach plans, and coordinating training sessions since April 2021. Additionally, she is actively engaged in tutoring non-native English speakers, showcasing her versatility and dedication to education.
Caway is not only academically accomplished but also holds certifications in responsible conduct of research and is in the process of obtaining CPR and first aid certifications. She is proficient in Mandarin and has a diverse range of interests, including community service, art projects, hiking, and badminton.
