Surgical Tech

Henry Fleetwood is an accomplished surgical technologist with over 22 years of experience, currently serving at Queens Surgical Center. His career began in the US Army Reserves in 1999, where he honed his skills in managing nursing services, patient care, and supervising surgical procedures. He was instrumental in ensuring the proper sterilization of medical supplies and served two tours in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Additionally, Henry served as a non-commissioned officer in Kuwait and was in charge of all preoperative services. He oversaw a team consisting of three surgeons, three anesthesiologists, three certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), three registered nurses (RNs), two surgical technologists, and one licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Post-military, Henry has worked as a surgical technologist at various healthcare facilities nationwide. He has demonstrated excellent teamwork, technical skills, and high energy in operating room specialties. His responsibilities have included creating and maintaining sterile fields for surgical procedures, preparing surgical suites, managing intra-operative phasing, and maintaining accurate records of patient care.

Academically, Henry holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Walden University. He also earned an Associate of Arts in Nursing from Harrisburg Community College and a Diploma in Surgical Technology from the Army Medical Department (AMMED) Center & School.

Henry’s unwavering dedication to patient care, coupled with his extensive experience and educational background, make him a vital asset to Queens Surgical Center. His commitment to excellence and service is commendable, and he continues to be a pillar in the surgical technologist community.
