Yi Chen is an extraordinary nurse committed to making a positive difference in the lives of her patients. At Queens Surgical Center, she is part of an all-star team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing the highest quality care. 

With a stellar academic foundation, Yi holds nursing diplomas from Wenzhou Second Medical Nurse School, Zhejiang College, and Wenzhou Medical College in China. Her career, enriched with over twenty years of experience, has been a journey of continuous growth in patient education, post-operative care, patient assessment, and IV insertion.

Yi’s devotion to patient care is exemplary. She is a master at crafting personalized care plans, gauging the needs of patients and their families, and leading preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Her diverse experience across various units, such as the GI unit, orthopedic unit, and medical/surgical unit, reflects her adaptability and unwavering commitment to nursing excellence.

Before joining Queens Surgical Center, Yi Chen gained invaluable experience at several healthcare institutions. At The Second Hospital, affiliated with Wenzhou Medical College in China, she focused on patient documentation, preventive care, and creating care plans.

Subsequently, at Golden Eagle Healthcare, Yi monitored medication side effects and assessed medical complications. She also administered medications and evaluated patient and family needs for home care. At Smart Homecare under CORAM, Yi maintained crash carts, managed medication supplies, and assumed charge nurse roles. She was also involved in pre and post-operative assessments, IV insertions, EKGs, and pregnancy testing.

What sets Yi apart is her amiable personality. She is reliable, responsible, and friendly, which makes her a favorite among patients. Moreover, her fluency in Mandarin allows her to connect with a diverse patient population. Her extensive knowledge, skills, and unwavering dedication to patient care are unmatched.
