David H. Lee, MD

Ophthalmologist

David H. Lee, MD, is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist with a wealth of experience in the field. Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Lee is fluent in both Korean and English, allowing him to connect with a diverse range of patients.

Dr. Lee obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Rochester and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his internship at St Vincent’s Medical Center in New York and his ophthalmology residency at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens. In November 1999, he became board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Throughout his educational journey, Dr. Lee received numerous honors and awards, including Honors in Acanthamoeba Research Elective and Ophthalmology Clerkship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, as well as Honors in Biochemistry, Histology, and Behavioral Science. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Rochester and was a recipient of the Regent’s Scholarship.

Dr. Lee has contributed to the field of ophthalmology through his research, with publications such as “E series Prostaglandins are Potent Growth Inhibitor for B lymphomas” in the European Journal of Immunology. He has also delivered abstracts and presentations at conferences, including ARVO in Sarasota, Florida, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

As an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmology Society, Inc., Dr. Lee is committed to staying current in his field. 

With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Lee has held positions at All City Ophthalmology and, since December 1997, has run his own private practice, LeeVision Ophthalmology Services. His dedication to providing exceptional care makes him a respected professional in the world of ophthalmology.
