Jason Chiu, MD

Jason Chiu, MD, is a highly experienced and skilled physician with a diverse background in general surgery. His educational background began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1999, followed by a Medical Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 2004.

Dr. Chiu completed his surgical internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, between 2004 and 2005. From 2005 to 2009, he served in the United States Army, where he was deployed to New Orleans, LA, for Hurricane Katrina relief and Iraq in support of OIF (Oct 2006-Jan 2008). He also held the position of Officer in Charge of Troop Medical Clinic at Camp Eagle in the Republic of Korea.

From 2009 to 2015, Dr. Chiu completed his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY. In 2015, he went on to complete a fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Chiu has worked as a volunteer physician for Team Rubicon in Greece, supporting international NGO relief efforts for Syrian refugees at the Elpida Refugee camp.

Since 2016, Dr. Chiu has held various positions, including per diem physician at Physicians Affiliate Group of New York, attending surgical hospitalist at Mount Sinai Brooklyn Hospital, and owner-operator of Sutton Medical, PLLC, a medical clinic specializing in wellness, weight loss, and aesthetics.

Dr. Chiu has authored several publications, holds board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and maintains medical licenses in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. His extensive experience and dedication to patient care make him a valuable asset to the medical community.
