Nancy Tsai, MD

Ophthalmologist

Nancy Tsai, MD, is a general ophthalmologist with experience in cataract surgery, glaucoma laser surgery, retina diagnostic and treatment laser, pediatric eye screening, and photo-refractive surgery such as PRK and LASIK.

She has been working in group practices at Advanced Eye Physician since 1999 and 2005, in New York and Flushing, respectively. Dr. Tsai has also held positions as an ophthalmology attending at Gouveneur Hospital and solo practice in Flushing, NY.

Dr. Tsai completed her postgraduate training at New York Medical College Department of Ophthalmology, Westchester County Medical Center as a Resident and Chief Resident. She also completed an internship in the Department of Medicine at North Shore University Hospital. She holds an M.D. from New York Medical College and a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY at Stony Brook.

She has hospital privileges at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and New York Hospital Medical Center at Queens. Dr. Tsai has research experience in ophthalmology and dermatology, focusing on glucocorticoid receptors in rabbit eyes and fungal colonization on the skin of HIV-positive children.

Dr. Tsai is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, New York State Ophthalmological Society, and International College of Surgeons. She has published research on the detection of choroidal calcium by computed tomography scan.
