Suzanna Airiani, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and corneal transplant surgeon with over three decades of experience. Her dedication to improving her patient’s overall eye health is nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Airiani received her surgical ophthalmology training at the renowned  Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) / New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPU). She then completed her fellowship training at the oldest and continually the leading eye hospital in the country, the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

In her comprehensive family eye care practice, Dr. Airiani seamlessly blends her vast expertise from premier eye institutions with cutting-edge ophthalmic technology. She specializes in a spectrum of advanced treatments, including bladeless LASIK, small incision no-stitch cataract surgery, corneal transplantation (DALK, DSAEK, PK), limbal stem cell transplantation, Amniotic membrane transplantation, and endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation, to name a few.

Her contributions as the chief editor of the Digital Reference of Ophthalmology (DRO) and her role in mentoring future ophthalmologists at institutions like Columbia University and New York University (NYU) further highlight her commitment to the profession. Among her many accolades, Dr. Airiani has received a scholarship from The Starr Foundation at Columbia University, numerous research competition victories, and significant publications in renowned eye journals. 

A certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Airiani also holds distinguished fellowships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. Her exemplary work in the field has earned her a spot on the list of New York’s Top Doctors, as nominated by her peers.
