Willy Ky, MD, MBA, is a distinguished ophthalmologist with vast experience in both adult and pediatric eye care. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Ky has accumulated a wealth of experience over his career, earning a reputation for excellence in surgical eye care.

Dr. Ky obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York’s 7-Year Medical Program. He continued his educational journey at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. During his time at Mount Sinai, he played a significant role in research that ultimately contributed to the FDA approval of LASIK.

After his residency at the New York University School of Medicine, where he was appointed Executive Chief Resident, Dr. Ky gained additional specialization in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus from the Washington University School of Medicine. During this time, he led a pediatric ocular trauma team and contributed to teaching and mentoring initiatives.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Ky holds a Master of Business Administration degree from NYU Stern School of Business, demonstrating his aptitude in leadership and management roles within the healthcare sector.

Dr. Ky also holds positions as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at both the New York University School of Medicine and North Shore/LIJ Hospital, further cementing his dedication to education and knowledge sharing in the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Ky is an active member of several esteemed professional societies, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, among others.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Ky has a keen interest in martial arts. He holds black belts in several disciplines, including Ji Do Kwan Taekwondo, Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo, and Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu Karate, and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling.
