Yi S. Chen, DO General Schedule an Appointment Yi S. Chen, DO, FACOS, is a highly accomplished general surgeon based in Queens, New York. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England, where he gained a solid foundation in osteopathic principles and practices. Dr. Chen completed his residency in rehabilitation and internship in physical medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital & Medical Center, where he honed his skills in the field of physical medicine. Dr. Chen's passion for surgical care led him to pursue an internship and residency in general surgery at Wyckoff Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During this time, he gained extensive experience in a wide range of surgical procedures. Currently, Dr. Chen serves as a general surgeon at Queens Surgical Center, where he is recognized for his exceptional surgical skills and patient-centered approach. In addition, he holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at NYIT College Of Osteopathic Medicine, where he is actively involved in teaching and training the next generation of medical professionals. Dr. Chen is committed to keeping his surgical skills and knowledge up-to-date through continuous medical education, research, and patient care. Jason Chiu, MD General Schedule an Appointment Jason Chiu, MD, is a highly experienced and skilled physician with a diverse background in general surgery. His educational background began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1999, followed by a Medical Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Chiu completed his surgical internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, between 2004 and 2005. From 2005 to 2009, he served in the United States Army, where he was deployed to New Orleans, LA, for Hurricane Katrina relief and Iraq in support of OIF (Oct 2006-Jan 2008). He also held the position of Officer in Charge of Troop Medical Clinic at Camp Eagle in the Republic of Korea. From 2009 to 2015, Dr. Chiu completed his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY. In 2015, he went on to complete a fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Chiu has worked as a volunteer physician for Team Rubicon in Greece, supporting international NGO relief efforts for Syrian refugees at the Elpida Refugee camp. Since 2016, Dr. Chiu has held various positions, including per diem physician at Physicians Affiliate Group of New York, attending surgical hospitalist at Mount Sinai Brooklyn Hospital, and owner-operator of Sutton Medical, PLLC, a medical clinic specializing in wellness, weight loss, and aesthetics. Dr. Chiu has authored several publications, holds board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and maintains medical licenses in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. His extensive experience and dedication to patient care make him a valuable asset to the medical community.
