Jason Chiu, MD General Schedule an Appointment Jason Chiu, MD, is a highly experienced and skilled physician with a diverse background in general surgery. His educational background began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1999, followed by a Medical Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Chiu completed his surgical internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, between 2004 and 2005. From 2005 to 2009, he served in the United States Army, where he was deployed to New Orleans, LA, for Hurricane Katrina relief and Iraq in support of OIF (Oct 2006-Jan 2008). He also held the position of Officer in Charge of Troop Medical Clinic at Camp Eagle in the Republic of Korea. From 2009 to 2015, Dr. Chiu completed his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY.
